Garden design
Site survey, concept plan, planting plan and 3D visuals, so you can walk through your garden before a single slab is laid.
Garden design & landscaping · West Kent
Evergreen & Oak is a Sevenoaks design and landscaping studio. One RHS-trained designer, one trusted build team, and a garden that still looks considered in fifteen years.
Most landscaping problems start when the designer and the builder have never met. Here they share a sketchbook, a van and a strong opinion about levels.
Site survey, concept plan, planting plan and 3D visuals, so you can walk through your garden before a single slab is laid.
Porcelain, sandstone and clay pavers on a full mortar bed with proper falls. Cuts set out before fixing, never made up as we go.
Layered, year-round borders chosen for your soil and aspect — not whatever the nursery had on offer that week.
Oak and hardwood structures, built with mortise-and-tenon joints where it matters. Composite decking for low-maintenance gardens.
Low-voltage schemes that pick out trees, steps and water — designed in from the start so cables go under the paving, not over it.
Properly prepared ground, laser-levelled, with cultivated turf or wildflower alternatives. The difference shows by the second summer.
A clear, fixed-fee path from the first conversation to the first morning coffee outside.
We walk the garden together, talk about how you want to use it, and take levels, soil samples and photographs.
A scaled masterplan with materials, planting style and 3D visuals. We revise until you'd happily frame it.
Our own landscaping team, a fixed price and a programme you can hold us to. We protect lawns and access routes as we work.
The designer plants the borders personally, then hands over a care calendar. We return after the first season to check everything has taken.
Monthly or quarterly visits to prune, feed, edge and keep the design intact — so the garden in year five still looks like the drawing.
Vetted workmanship, inspected sites and a code of conduct we're held to. Our membership is listed on the APL register.
Our lead designer trained at RHS Wisley and has entered award show gardens — planting plans here are written, not improvised.
£2m public liability, written contracts and staged payments tied to progress on the ground — never large sums up front.
Plants that fail in the first two seasons are replaced without quibble, and we return to check levels, joints and drainage.
“The 3D visuals were uncannily accurate — standing on the finished patio felt like stepping into the drawing. The porcelain is laser-flat and the lighting at dusk is honestly magical.”Caroline H. Sevenoaks — full garden redesign
“They re-levelled our sloping garden into two terraces with an oak pergola. The team swept the drive every evening and the planting has filled out exactly as the plan promised.”James & Tom W. Tunbridge Wells — terraced garden & pergola
“A maintenance plan keeps it all looking sharp — they turned up in February exactly as scheduled to prune the wisteria, which is more than I'd have managed.”Margaret E. Westerham — planting scheme & maintenance
We take on a limited number of builds each year within about 30 minutes of the studio, so the designer can be on site most days.
